LEAF PICKS UP EUROPEAN CAR OF THE YEAR 2011 TROPHY

Last night, at a ceremony held at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris, Carlos Ghosn accepted the 2011 Car of the Year trophy for the Nissan LEAF.

Also at the ceremony were the COTY jury members from all over Europe, Nissan executives and employees who have worked on the LEAF project.

At the awards Hakan Matson, President of the Jury, Car of the Year “The LEAF represents a big leap forward for the pure electric car...I am convinced that we, in the future, will see other electric cars named Car of the Year. But when we do we always must remember that only one can be the first. And that is why Nissan LEAF, Car of the Year 2011, is – and will remain – so very special.”
